We offered our Arcade Ultra Light as the foundation for this collaboration and the team at BilT elevated it to an entirely new level with their iconic sparkle finish and intricate onboard effects, courtesy of Caroline Guitar Co. The Arcade Ultra Light features fully chambered core with a solid spruce center block that provides a ton of projection, resonance, and acoustic charm. For the colour, BilT went with an Eggplant Burst overtop of a massive sparkle base. The headstock is addorned with a custom on-off “BilT Brothers” Badge on the matching Eggplant Sparkleburst headstock.
Powered by a pair of Arcane 3x3 Gold Foil Humbuckers, which have the classic fullness and power of a traditoinal, but with a little more single-coil-like clarity and chime. The result is a dynamic tonal range—crisp and articulate when clean, tight and airy with overdrive—that perfectly complements the onboard effect chosen exclusively for this model. Philippe at Caroline Effects provided the guts of one of his iconic Cannonball pedals. Not only is the cannonball one of our all time favorite dirt circuits, but this one on-board the guitar offers the havoc mode both in momentary mode, and a latched mode for some truly unique options. It also comes complete with matching footswitch.
